Hello, Adventurers and Families! We’re Chaz and Serres (Ser-ees), and we’re passionate about living a life full of discovery, exploration, and endless possibility. We met in 2004, and from the moment we crossed paths, it felt like the start of an extraordinary journey. Since then we’ve settled in the Alberta foothills of the Canadian Rockies, and we’ve learned that the best adventures are the ones you share with the people you love most.
From Couple Adventures to Family Adventures
Between 2005 and early 2013, we explored Mexico extensively. Eventually, we realized all-inclusive resorts weren’t enough. We craved real adventure.
In late 2013, we hiked the Inca Trail in Peru. That journey changed everything. It deepened our passion for meaningful travel and opened up a world of possibilities. Since then, we’ve explored Costa Rica, South Africa, Roatan, Europe, and Hawaii, always pushing our boundaries.
When our two boys arrived in 2020, we faced a choice: settle down or show them the world was theirs to explore. We chose adventure. Now, whether hopping on planes to new countries or packing up for adventures at our off-grid cabin in the Canadian Rockies, we’re proving that family and exploration go hand in hand.
Why Family Adventure Travel Matters
We’ve watched our boys transform through travel and outdoor exploration. They’ve become adaptable, resilient, and confident. But beyond the developmental benefits, family adventures create something irreplaceable: memories that last a lifetime and bonds that deepen every time you face something new together. Family travel is different from couple travel, but it’s equally adventurous. It’s just a different kind of adventure.

We built this blog to show families that adventure doesn’t end when kids arrive. It evolves. Through our travel guides, practical tips, and real stories from the road, we share how to explore the world with your family and create epic memories along the way. Whether you’re planning your first international family trip, hiking with your kids, or figuring out how to keep your adventurous spirit alive as a parent, you’ll find honest advice here.

What To Expect From The Blog
Our focus is simple: travel and explore near and far, live life outdoors, and appreciate the beauty of nature. We want to inspire you to venture to new places and create epic memories with the people who matter most.
We cover both destinations we’ve visited with our children and those we explored before as a couple. For those we haven’t yet taken our children to, we write about them from the perspective of how we’d visit them today with kids, including practical tips, recommendations, and what to expect.
Our scuba diving content is geared toward parents who want to keep their own passions alive and families with teens. Adventure doesn’t have to stop when you have kids. We hope our children will share this passion with us once they’re old enough, but for now we share it with them through photos and videos.
Everything we write comes from real experience and honest perspective.
