Gear Guide

Our Favourite Gear for Travel & Outdoor Life

Bags

Osprey Mens and Womens 48L Backpacks – These Osprey packs are our go-to for travel, from Peru to South Africa and Costa Rica. They’re comfortable to carry anywhere, from airports to multi-day hikes.

Osprey Mens Stratos & Womens Sirrus 24L Backpacks – These backpacks are awesome for day trips from heading out on an excursion or hiking into the backcountry. They are really comfortable and have been super durable.

Osprey Dry Sack – This is a must in our opinion if you are flying with your bag or it’ll be transported on a bus, shuttle, etc. Pop it in to keep your bag damage-free and dry.

Swiss Gear Suitcases – We love these suitcases for their durability and smooth rolling on various surfaces. The integrated lock is a real time-saver (we were always searching for our locks last minute before a flight). Good suitcases are worth the investment.

Vacuum Storage Bags – These let us pack 2 adults’ and 2 kids’ clothes in one large suitcase—or a three-week trek for one in a 48L backpack. They can be easily hand-compressed. No fancy packing cubes needed!

Camera Gear Backpack – This is a versatile camera backpack that fits a camera, tablet, and small essentials. Water-resistant and comes with a rain cover for added protection. Compact enough to count as a personal item on most flights.

Tech

DJI Mini 4 Pro Drone – We’re love our DJI Mini Pro 4. It’s our go-to travel companion for capturing epic adventures in 4K. It also takes really great aerial photos and it’s object tracking capabilities are amazing!

Mini 4 Pro Accessories Bundle – 7-in-1 accessories bundle is a for the DJI Mini 4 Pro… it’s rugged, organized, and travel-ready!

Olympus TG7 Underwater Camera – This is an awesome little camera for both land and sea—perfect for diving, snorkelling, beach days, and jungle treks. It’s a must-have for moist environments, and we bring it on every adventure when it’s the best fit for the activity.

Olympus TG-7 Dive Housing – OEM dive housing for the Olympus TG-6 and TG-7. It works great, doesn’t fog, and provides OEM reliability.

Foldable Solar Chargers – This is great for charging your devices while camping, hiking, or taking places where you can’t otherwise charge your electronics.

Universal Plug / Charger – Don’t forget a universal charger when travelling outside your home region’s power system. It works in over 150 countries, and the slide-out prongs mean you’ll never lose an adapter again.

Clothing

Columbia Mens & Womens Waterproof Jackets – Perfect packable jackets for rainy or windy days. Great for layering too!

Columbia Mens & Womens Zip Off Cargo Pants – A great choice to save on packing and in places where the weather changes by the hour. The cargo style is great for extra versatility / pockets.

Salomon Womens X Ultra 4 MID GT Hiking Boots – Very comfortable and durable waterproof boot for hiking or trekking.

Merrell Mens Moab Mid Hiking Boots – Lightweight, breathable yet waterproof boot that has been great for short hikes and multi-day treks, as well as day-to-day use.

Carry-On Essentials

Small Crossbody Bag – This is a great little crossbody bag for keeping passports and boarding passes handy. It’s especially useful when moving through security and boarding the plane.

Neck Pillows – These are our favourite neck pillows! They are really comfortable and come with a hood to cover your eyes. We don’t travel without them!

Sanitizing Wipes – We love these plant-based sanitizing wipes for quickly wiping down tray tables and armrests. They’re especially handy when travelling with little ones.

Passport Cover – Great for keeping passports damage. We love the simple, clear design. Most handy covers we’ve had.

TSA Approved Toiletries – This is a great set of toiletry bottles for taking on the plane. We always pack a small amount of essentials in case our checked bags go missing.

Kids Gear

Graco Tranzitions 3-in-1 Car Seat – We love these seats for travel. They’re lightweight, easy to take pack, include two cup holders, and adapts to your child’s needs as they grow.

Car Seat Travel Bag – This is a must when checking your car seat.

UPPAbaby G-Link V2 Double Stroller – This is the best lightweight stroller for two kids. It works great on cobblestones to gravel, plus it’s narrow profile makes it perfect for narrow streets, busy airports, and cramped stores.

Stroller Cup Holder – These work great and we have one on each side of our UPPAbaby G-Link V2. They hold take-away coffee cups, reusable mugs, and a variety of water bottles.

Kids Neck Pillows – Soft, squishy, and super comfortable, it’s great for flights or car rides. The removable cover for cleaning is a bonus!

Compact Folding Wagon – Love this at 11 lbs, holds over 200 lbs, and pulls easy on sand, gravel, and uneven terrain. It’s small size makes it easy to check as luggage or take as carry-on!

Protective Tablet Case – We allow tablets for our little ones only during travel to help pass the time. These covers offer protection and can be propped up or hung for convenient use.

Hiking, Camping, & Off-Grid Living

Marmot Mummy Bag – We love these bags! They are so warm and cozy, while being really lightweight. They’ve gone everywhere from local camping spots to hiking the Inca Trail!

Sleeping Bag Liner or Mummy Bag Liner – A sleeping bag or mummy liner is perfect if you’re leaving your bag at home or want extra cleanliness and comfort while traveling. They also add warmth and help keep your sleeping bag cleaner for longer.

SteriPen UV Water Treatment – A great little tool for backcountry camping or off-grid living. Just strain out any large particles first, then use UV to sterilize.

MSR PocketRocket – A compact, lightweight cooking option for when you’re on the go. Perfect for keeping your setup as minimal as possible.

Rechargeable Head Lamp – Awesome headlamps that are rechargeable to save batteries.

Contigo Streeterville Stainless Travel Mug with Lid – We can’t go without our morning coffee, and these mugs keep it hot for ages. Honestly, longer than the coffee ever lasts.

Camp Chef Propane Stove / Oven Combo – This is one of our favourite off-grid cabin accessories! It’s a bit bigger with a better oven design, making it perfect for the cabin. When trailer camping, we switch to the more compact Hike Crew version to keep smells outside.
